I loved this figure for a good display, hated the tank mode since the turret didn't move. So i spiced it up and someone wants it already for a trade.

-I removed the gimmick of the spinning gun and it looks great as a empty dark barrel
-just grays and whites, along with some gunmetal dry brushing for all the inside bits and limbs,
-added some darker red clear paint for the chest piece and eye piece

Unpopular (?) opinion: I think the TF:Animated colors are the best Shockwave has ever looked. I LOVE repaints of Shockwave into those (or similar) colors. And you NAILED it. I prefer your colors to the real thing.

 

Colours look great together, the clear red pops now. Nice!

 

Something that I have never understood. If you are going to go for metalics? What not go for metallics for the entire figure?

 

how was the white going onto the purple? i know white is almost always a challenge.

 

Bit of a pain. But once i took out the gimmick on the spinning cannon and just did the arm to see how it would turn out, i couldn't stop it looked so good

 

It was my first thought, but i just wanted the gear underneath to be drybrush metallic. If the guy who has it wants to open it up you can see, never had the chance to do a full transformation. The chest piece covers alot of it
