God, I wish he’d put the files under license on CGTrader. Home printers are blowing Shapeways out of the water, and their quality/price always kept me from trying this set. Like, I’ve literally had a donor Tomahawk sitting around on the off-chance of this happening for years. This kit is so good, it deserves an injection-mold run; the least I could do is print it in higher quality..

Yeah, I can't be arsed to buy from Shapeways any more. Ridiculously overpriced print charges plus even more ridiculous shipping charges - because they ship everything in boxes when a padded envelope would do for most prints - for something I can make myself for pennies after purchase?

I'd rather pay a designer directly than pay someone else who then passes on a much smaller share of the profit to the creator.

Yeah, I don't buy from Shapeways anymore now that I have my own printers. Particularly after I bought a head for a custom and lost it before I could use it. I was able to buy a model that was as good, customize the scale for the figure I was using, and print it myself. Regarding an injection-molded version, I think there was going to be something happening with Nonnef that fell through. If someone wants a good Whirl, though, and has a printer but can't get this base figure, here's a project:
