Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, they do not transform. I only make their robot form. I'm a big fan of robot and mech design, so I just focus on that. However, I'd like to try my hand at making one that transforms. I just have a hard time coming up with a vehicle mode that looks practical and still transforms -- without having all the extra kibble and stuff.

I'm glad to hear that your daughter liked my Construct-Bot designs. They're really fun toys. I think people fail to realize that they're actually basic "model kits" -- and just like model kits, they can be painted and assembled...and like LEGOs --> in different ways. They're so open-ended.

G1 Six Gun Construct-Bot Upgrade Photo Tutorial

Here's a brief photo tutorial to give you an idea of how I upgraded my Generation 1 Six Gun with Construct-Bots parts. I don't recall what specific sets I got the parts from, but this should at least give you an idea of how he was constructed...

Custom Ultra Magnus Construct-Bot Photo Tutorial

Since he was very popular, I thought I'd share how I made the Ultra Magnus custom. Here's a brief photo tutorial to give you an idea of how I created Ultra Magnus with Construct-Bots parts.

I don't recall what specific sets I got the parts from, but this should at least give you an idea of how he was constructed. The head piece was an Ironhide head that was customized with glued-on antennas and a new paint job. All the other parts are stock. The red parts are from Prime (and maybe Ironhide), the teal body armor parts are from Thundercracker, and the electric blue endo skeleton is from the scout class Bumblebee. Word of caution, I buy MULTIPLE sets of characters, so amassing the pieces can be expensive.

    Hope this helps. Have fun!

I really liked the Ultra Magnus! I also liked the FOC JetPrime. So simple, yet so creative! Amazing Work!

Thank you so much for the compliment. For the longest time, I wanted to make an Ultra Magnus, and I'm so glad that the design has been so well received. :)

    Custom Construct-Bot Grimlock

Here's my take on a Construct-Bot Grimlock (robot mode only). I took different design elements from his various incarnations (G1, Fall of Cybertron, Age of Extinction, etc.)...

The only customized part was the Megatron torso which I painted gold. The rest are stock parts from various kits.

Thanks! Yeah, I love that Dead End head sculpt. It's such a nicer, more detailed head. It's not as cartoonish-looking as the other Construct-Bot heads.

Very nice stuff in here. Got some of these for my daughter and have attached parts to FoC Magnus before... but nothing on this scale! I see the light, she needs more of these clearly lol

Thanks! I have a little cousin (a 7 year old girl). She saw me building a Construct-Bot and she wanted to try her hand at it. She loved it. She built a robot covered in energon swords and she named him "Sharpy."

Wow, I really like what you did with the upper torso, chest, and back --> especially your use of the Megatron pieces and Thundercracker's wings. Hmmm, that's really interesting. If you don't mind I might actually use some of your ideas. I'm really liking how you arranged the body pieces. Gives me a few ideas... I really appreciate you sharing that. Thanks! :)

Custom Movie-Inspired Construct-Bots with TF Movie Toys Comparison

I made a few changes to my custom Movie-Inspired Optimus Prime, and I thought it'd be fun to show a side-by-side comparison with their TF Movie Toys equivalent. It gives you an idea of how large these Construct-Bots are...
