After a long process, Hypno the Snake is finally finished. For the final model, I switched back to an original design for the hood in place of the Decepticon symbol. I wanted him to be more of his own thing instead of a definite Con. He is after all a member of Team Vermin. I also added a sticker outline on his tape side and mechanical detail to his snake side. That will help with sorting the pieces for assembly. I've reduced him in size 2%, so he now fits inside of both G1 and MP Soundwaves. I dyed this one with Ritt Dye "Apple Green". He's now on sale in my shop, with all of his team mates.
You died him green? it might just be the pictures, but he looks pretty gray to me. great work by the way! i've seen your other cassette projects and like them all, i might just have to go and put in a big shapeways order when i get my next paycheck! keep up the good work!
Looks great! I think I prefer the hood like this. So are all the Casettes finalized then; no more planned changes? And are they all built to the same dimensions and, if so, what are those dimensions?
Thanks! I'm a little reluctant to sell the Con hood version. There is some stuff on Shapeways with faction symbols on them, but I'm still not sure if I want to risk getting shut down. I was thinking about making the alternate hood available as a separate file, but I also don't want to look like I'm trying to bilk people by making them buy two files. I was also considering doing one with a totally blank hood for maximum customization. I'm open to the community's opinion on this.
Maybe some kind of vaguely faction-ish symbol? Like a snake version of the decepticon logo? Maybe team vermin needs their own faction symbol. Something cool like:
For what it's worth, I would love to get both. I really dig the symbol. And think goes really well with those GiJoe/Transformer crossover comic/ComicCon toy line. If you ever decide to make available would love to grab. Much props on all the deaigns. Amazing work.
