Well I did this back in October but never really bothered posting pics of it. So here he is, G2 Grimlock. Done with a custom mix of paint, and a lot of future floor polish. So his paint is pretty solid and shiny as hell. Lots of sanding was done to protect the areas that rub. Finally the weapons were given glow in the dark paint and look pretty nice! Looked at G2 grim for hours. Realized the only gold should be the dino claws, and the chest. Silver it is! Used a bit of red to break it up though. Also decided to paint the teeth, cuz why not. FoC Grimlock is nice, but could be better. Why not do a G2 Grimlock out of him? Ok here we go. Alas, the black wash over the blue didn't photograph well. Damn. Light up gimmick still works. Imho i really dont like G2 customs with metallic paint, but this masterpiece has truely swayed me, love it
Haha thanks, it was just a TINY bit of silver added to the blue, then an equal amount of black. Took 8-10 coats to get it to the color you see. It's super smooth and looks better in person, my photography skills are horrible.
