These look great Hobbes! nice job :D

Actually, that's how Lego creates their instructions, or at least a step in the process. They then go and illustrate the steps based on those photos. ^__^

Shoulders are this + this and a couple of these.

Parts are all Lego (except the heads).

Okay, sorry this took so long, but here are the instructions for Prime. I'll be breaking this up in sections over a couple of posts.

Let me start by saying that a few of the choices I made had to do with making it work with the parts I had. There's a lot of room for improv in all of this (i.e. in a few place I stack 3 plates where 1 brick would work or I used a 1x2 plate and a 3x2 plate where a 4x2 plate would work). So if you try to make your own, don't feel obligated to use every exact piece I used. Just get a feel for how the whole thing fits together and then find your own path.

Anyway, here we go, starting with the arms. I show the build of just one arm, but both arms are built the same way, just turning some bricks to face the other direction. Should be pretty obvious.

Here are all the parts for Prime's arm stacked in the order that they fit together.

And then it's just a matter of stacking things.

And clipping it on to Prime's torso (covered in a future post).

The arms for Megatron and Starscream are both built almost identically, just making adjustments for color and the places you'll want accessories to clip on.

    Up next, the Torso!

Prime's torso starts with these pieces:

They're basically going to form the "narrow backpack" on Prime in the final model. Clip 'em together like so:

Now, while most of Prime's torso is 4 studs wide, the window section is 5 studs wide, so we'll add these 1x2 plates with one center stud to help make that happen:

Then add a 3x2 and a 2x2 plate to create the whole 5 stud wide section.

Now we'll add a "headlight" brick to serve, basically, as Prime's neck.

And add some special bricks to the sides to hold the windows and arms on:

And then fill in the gaps with regular red bricks:

Now for Prime's windows. You want two window pieces, two 2x1 tiles (the smooth type with no studs) and two 1x1 tiles.

Lay the windows on top of the torso:

Secure them on with the 1x2 tiles:

Then add the 1x1 tiles just to clean it up. The remaining open stud will hold his arm.

    Next post, the abdomen/waist. Exciting!

Not much commentary here, it's pretty straight forward:

    And then part 2:

Up next, completing the upper body.

So, we're gonna take the torso, give it a head, some arms, and the upper legs:

Now Prime needs lower legs. Just like the arms I'll demonstrate building one, but the other one is just the mirror image build.

    I started with these pieces:

And I realized I forgot to photograph a step, so let me describe what happens next.

    1. Put the brick on the end of the 1x4 plate. Tuck the other end of the 1x4 plate into the angle plate and clip them both to a blue 2x4 plate (or a 1x2 and 3x2 plate, like in the pics. It doesn't matter).

Then put these on top of that 2x4 plate:

There's the gray pieces for the gas tank, a 1x1 blue plate under that, and next to it a 1x2 plate with a ratchet connection. This will serve as Prime's knee joint.

Now we're just going to keep stacking blue pieces to even things out:

Now we'll apply some bricks to build out the feet:

And then get the bricks we want for detail:

And the leg is done. Just connect it right here:

    And you have Prime:

Next and final post, we'll build his gun.

These are all the pieces for Prime's gun:

Stick the technic pin into the 1x1 brick and attach the slope brick to that:

Slide the wrench over the pin:

And then add two of the cylinder bricks:

    Slide the pole piece in:

And then add the final cylinder:

And Prime is ready for battle.

    The End!

You bet. If anything's unclear or if someone just needs clarification or whatever, please ask.
