    Materials used:
Reflective red and white reflective tape (Home Depot mailbox lettering section)
Chrome air duct tape (like in your home used on air conditioning ducts)
A nice straight edge (I use a metal 12 inch ruler)
    Exac-to knife set
A nice Scotch brand pair of cutting sissors
Microfiber cloth (for rubbing in the Chrome bits without scratching the surface of the Chrome)
A clean edge credit card (for pushing the Chrome down into the vent area)

This is an ongoing project for me. I plan on completely chroming little details throughout, without over doing it. And finding more creative ways to use the reflective red and white. The effect is greatly amplified obviously with a flash picture, but really looks gorgeous in normal well lit collection rooms.

I hope these 2 simple tricks inspire a whole new way of customizing in the community. I would really love to see some of you more dedicated customizers here on the boards run with these ideas. I have been using these tricks for my personal collection for years but never saw it applied to other customs. On a side note, the easiest way to get a template is to cut out the section on the used sticker sheet and make your marks on the back and cut. On the multi angle cuts, you may have to piece the stickers together. Like on his upper body where the helipad is.

Anyway I'll just post up some pics through various stages of the project randomly and without notice so be prepared.

Maybe a mod can sticky this thread if anyone finds this useful.

Yes the honeycomb outlines are baked into the tape. Obviously this idea will work with any wfc/foc fig. I can't wait to apply it to some of my other figs. I've used reflective tape applications before but I was using DOT regulation tape (which is a cleaner more even shine), but this type of tape with the honeycomb pattern just looks so good on this fig. When i 1st saw the tape i knew what I was going to do with it. My mind flooded with ideas. I just had to share it with you guys.

That is frickin' awesome, looks like it's time to make a stop at Home Depot or Menards soon. Metroplex and my WFC/FOC figures might be getting some glow in the near future.

Thanks for the responses. You can find a pack of 2 red and 2 white reflective strips for about 3 bucks. I bought 3 packs and still have about 1 red strip untouched and 2 unopened packs. I don't let much go to waste. The stickers are very flexible but bend it too much and it will snap in half. I can't believe no one has commented on the Chrome idea yet.

I'm really curious about this. Especially the honeycomb pattern. Are they fine enough to be used on deluxe sized figures? Or are there finer honeycomb patterns available? He looks very, very sweet!

There was only the one type there. I think tho it should look good on Deluxe and Voyager class figs. I really wouldn't have minded myself if the honeycomb was smaller. But for what it is and how little cost it was, you really can't go wrong. The possibilities are endless and not bound only to foc/wfc. I'm guessing other lines could benefit from this application as well.

Compare these pics. 2 pics have the DOT tape and the other the honeycomb

Could you post the full name of the product and perhaps even an amazon link or something?

I sure can. I will put the info in the 1st post under materials used when I get home from work tonight. When I got to Home Depot I specifically asked several staff members to point me in the right direction, and none were any help. I just happened to stumble upon it in the mail box home exterior lettering aisle (behind the power tool area).
