Current Project For Halloween: TargetMonster Dracula Hey all. On a lark, I pulled up a half-finished design to work ujp this little goodie for Shapeways, well in advance of Halloween: Targetmonster Dracula, a Targetmaster-inspired bit of spookiness designed to evoke the late 80s TF line and everyone’s favorite vampire at the same time. He’s the same size as a standard targetmaster and fits into a 5mm peg hole. He comes in three parts which should, in theory, lock together purely by friction buy may require a few dabs of glue in practice. He’s presently in the prototype stage on Shapeways, which means for a limited time he’s available without markup through my shapeways store.
I might get one just because you called it a Targetmonster. That really made my day. My only concern is that the wings might snap off. Moving arms would have been nice, but I see that you're going for a G1 thing there.
The wings are about 2mm thick at their thinnest, which is thin, but I've made shapeways accessories with thinner parts in that range that hold on just fine. I thought about adding more articulation but I want to get a handle on parts tolerences first and the retro concept really felt strong when combined with the goofiness of Drac. I'm considering a few others, probably a wolfman to start, depending on interest.
Another thought...Dracula would also make a great POWERmonster...essentially letting his TF partner turn blood into energon.
VERY cool idea!!! Might be time for Mindwipe to drop that looser scientist Vorath and upgrade to some sweet Powermaster action! Or Onyxprimal....or someone
What is a 'bot? A miserable little pile of circuits! But enough talk, have at you! > I'm sorry, I just had to. :x
