This is my Killer Bee with Savage. So basically the story (without going into to many details) is this: Many years after the Transformers showed up on Earth looking for the cube, the Autobots have been defeated and mostly destroyed. Megatron has won, taken much of Earths resources for himself and returned to Cybertron. Bumblebee managed to escape and has had to hunt down any Decepticon left on Earth. He does not do it because he is an Autobot, nor does he do it to protect the surviving human inhabitants. He hunts them for their parts and energon to keep himself functioning. For those Decepticons trapped on Earth he has become a boogieman whom they have renamed Killer Bee. Bee's only companionship is a barely sentient cybertronian cat that he found scavenging in a junk pile that he named Savage. Someday Killer Bee will run out of Decepticons to hunt and will need to kill Savage to survive a little longer. For Killer Bee there is no hope, no fear, only death. For Killer Bee I used Dark of the Moon deluxe Nitro Bumblebee. I made a few modifications to the mold. First modification was removing the car doors from his back and attaching them to his shoulders to beef up his look. I also drilled a hole into his hood to attach the minigun that I custom made. And the final modification was removing the engines from the back of his legs and attaching them back onto the rest of the engines on his backpack. I also created his blade weapon for his forearm (aka his STINGER) using some Zoid parts. And the missiles on his legs were also from Zoids. I used Testors enamels to paint him. Colors used were gold, flat black, brown and silver with accents of red for his eyes and leg missiles and white for his face to give him a skull like look. The technique I used for the car body was to drybrush first black, then gold, then black again and some brown for the front end to really stick out. I drybrushed the engines with black then silver. For his robot mode's gold parts, I drybrushed first gold, then black, then gold again and for the other parts I drybrushed black then silver to highlight. Killer Bee's most distinguishing feature is his flight pack. The flight pack was made using Dark of the Moon deluxe Laserbeak and the guns are from Dark of the Moon deluxe Autobot Armor Topspin. I wanted it to look like Killer Bee had basically ripped Laserbeak apart and attached the hover blades to his own back. This flight pack has 3 flight modes and can also fold inward some for when he doesn't need to fly. The first mode is a traditional flight pack which allows him to fly Superman style. For the second mode the backpack raises up and the hover blades are oriented facing downward. This is his hover battle mode as it also allows the guns to be facing forward. The third and most impressive mode is when the wings extend out. This mode gives him the appearance of an angel of death. I used Testors enamels to paint the backpack. Colors used were flat black and silver. I drybrushed the whole thing with both the black and silver while leaving some of the underlying plastic color to give a very weathered look. Savage is made using Hunt for the Decepticons legend Ravage. Only modification is a shortening of the nosecone in reentry mode. This mod was done so he would be able to attach to Killer Bee in vehicle mode. I used Testors enamels to paint him. Colors used were flat black, silver and steel.
Thanks and I agree completely. That is why he had to be renamed Killer Bee. This was my first attempt with such extensive drybrushing. I'm done a bit of drybrushing on some of my other bashes but never for a whole bot plus accesseries. Painting this bash was definitely a learning process and I hope to be able to use what I learned on future bashes.
