Hey guys. I picked up a 2012 botcon box/foam set earlier this year from someone here on the boards. They were basically trying to get rid of it (15$-20$) and I figured I would find some use for it. When it got here, I had just picked up GDO Megatron and I noticed that he along with Laser Prime would make a good fit for the box. That eventually lead to me doing a G2 themed box set. This actually turned out to be a fairly simple set to put together once I had the theme. Hasbro/TFCC has put out a number of G2 figures the last year or so - all I had to do is match them up to the slots. I originally had a KO black Sideswipe in the set but, I hated how small Prime was compared to everyone else (smallest figure). So, I decided to add the Battle Tanker to the set to beef him up (surprisingly, I already had the tanker and was planning to sell it in my sales thread). All I had to do was cut the foam slot a little and it fit right in. Prime looks much better now. To do the Box, I just ordered some black adhesive vinyl paper from amazon and 2 G2 car decals from ebay. I am pretty happy with how the set turned out - once I made the change for Prime. I know the Botcon boxes are not for everyone, but I love being able to display my figures nicely and having the ability to quickly pull down a set to play with. However, the TFCC guys often have some strange combinations of figures (The 2012 set was a complete mess of figures). This set seems to have a little better continuity for my liking. Hope everyone enjoys the pics. I have a couple other boxes lying around that I am planning to revise as well. Just need to get some time to put them together.
