Autobot Elite Guardian: Turbo (Gobot Guardian Turbo) WIP

Here's something I've been working on a little bit at a time while waiting for the kwikweld to cure on Skyquake, a classics style Gobot Turbo!

quick back story, I originally bought this mold for an updated Backstreet, but after having it for a while just didn't like the figure as Backstreet, then seeing how a spare CD Red Alert head looked on him, it solidified that this would be Turbo instead.

The head is just sitting on the body right now (have to scratch build a neck), which is why it looks off center in the pic.

As always comments and crits are much appreciated!

Enjoy!

Update, Finished!!! Went with the Elite Guard symbol, since in my collection I'm having Gobots Masquerading as a "lost" battalion of the Elite Guard in order to dissuade any questions of their origins. fun fact, they became "lost" tracking a "renegade group of Decepticons"

Dig the mold you're usin. Making an IDW Rodimus from the red version myself. Just watch out cause your gonna have to trim alot off that head to get it to fit through the "wish bone" type hinge for the transformation. Its really tight. Keep on keepin on bud! Looks like a good start.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the tip sw0d! Actually I've finished modding the head, and it fits quite well through the aggravating wishbone. Rodimus is a good pick for this mold, might even get his trademark wings to work pretty well

Yup--got the same thing going. Swapped out the yellow parts on the red version with the silver parts on the black version. Just not satisfied with a head yet.

Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

That's a great idea for the use of that mold! I have been trying to figure out what to do with my ironman one

Oh, okay! So, what's the size comparable to Classic-verse figures?
