The Ultraverse comics was one of the first complete series I'd started collecting as a kid. So many memories! Good to see them getting some love. And these look great. =)
Thanks guys Prime is still in progress Here are a few more WIP figures that I also have in the works. A Supes that I just started for a fellow collector. I'm still tracking all the parts that I need for my Hulks, but I was able to get some FO Hulk feet for my Hulk, so they are just mocked up for now. The Validus Legs will require some modification for them to fit properly, but I think they will work out just fine.
love that brainstorm olds. Kinda funny how you can completely remove the jet from the back of the robot. I'm not much of an action figure guy other than robotic stuffs like gundams and the like, but man, you make me want to try sometimes. Excellent execution.
I recently did the hip repair to mine and a friends Guttur. Here is one apart. Sand the highlighted areas and then apply a some glue before putting it back together. Then mostly back together.
Well I'm finally settled into the new house and it's time to get back to customizing. Here are some of the items that I have been working on and going to be working on for some friends. Some of these are just going to be touch-ups of other customizers customs that my friend wanted touched up or repaired.
I just finished painting up a bunch of heads for "The Amazing Spidey-Fan" over on the Fwoosh forums. First up is a Iceman head cast from Casting Cave that I painted up as an alternate unmasked Peter Parker head for the new Spider-Man figure. Next is a bunch of movie-verse heads that he bought from Glassman Customs. I'll take some individual pictures of each of the characters a little later. Here a couple of WIP shots of the heads.
I was doing a little paint work so I decided to repainted the white Bludgeon face on the Perfect Effects kit to add a little more detail to it. What do you all think?
Here is a simple little repaint that I did on my Warbotron Nosecone's face. When I first saw pictures of the original paint job on the face I didn't much care for it, because it was neither cartoon or toy accurate. Since the rest of the figure is closer to the toy colors I decided to paint the face to match the toy. It's just a minor repaint, but I really like the contrast it adds to the figure.
After a twelve day journey my Make Toys Cupola finally arrived from TFsource. And right out the box those dang like foot pieces that are on ball joints kept popping off, so I decided to take the feet apart and apply some clear nail polish to tighten up the joints. While I was at it I applied a coat to the ankle ball joints as well. This morning I reinstalled the ankles and applied another coat to the smaller ball joints.
Yep, I will be going with the darker tones on Gears like I did with Swerve. I still can't understand why they used those pastel colors on their Minibots. I had to order some new paint to work on this project my French Blue dried out.
Here are a couple of other projects that I'm starting on. I just started repainting my Combiner Wars Optimus Prime. And I'm also going to be turning a CW Rook into Ironhide. So far all I've done with this one is gather the parts that I'll need.
How's the Rook to Ironhide coming along?...what head is that you're using if you dont mind me asking...
All I have done so far on Ironhide is to disassemble Rook. And it is indeed a Classics Astrotrain head from an old junker that I had in my fodder box. Yeah there is quite a lot of sculpted detail on him. The more I paint the more I want to do more to bring out more detail.
