Just a couple of shots to show where I'm going with this. Base coats are mostly done with the exception being the roof at this point. And finally a very quick doodle to help figure out colors. Update 4.29: Update 5.10: Been pretty busy with personal stuff, so this is the first bit of work I've been able to get in, just a little work on the head, clear orange isn't working as well as Tamiya's other clear colors, so I need to pick up a normal Orange for his eye brows and sideburns, as well as other area for 'bot and V modes. Goggles not pictured, but they are also being worked on.
Thanks Fellas! It's not Smokescreen's head. It's Fakebusker's DREAD heads. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radic...nse-espionage-assault-department-d-r-e-d.html
Thanks! See below. The head is Fakebusker's DREAD Vehicon Agent Corvus and is available on Shapeways can be found here The exhausts were made by zoso1900 for TFP Wheeljack, but they also happen to fit PRID Vehicon. You can find those here, the fins were also made by zoso1900 can be found here. Note that I'm using the Beast Hunters spoiler at the moment, but working on some ideas to potentially create a new spoiler and system as well as a MTMTE Rodimus head to work with this mold with zoso1900. I LOVE Ariel's head and using it for Hot Rod was my first thought when I saw it on Facebook, but when I'm done with this custom, I'd like it to scream out MTMTE Rodimus more than anything else. Which may mean I'll make another as well, because I think this head does make for a really cool looking TFP Hot Rod, and I can understand why gargunkle thought it was a Smokescreen head as it does share some similarities with a Starscream-esqe face. Here are a couple of shots with the goggles on to see where I'm going. Local shop was out of the orange I seek so still nothing on that front, going to get some more work in on him tonight.
