    Hi Guys,

I just came across pics of COLOSSUS, one of the last traditionally sculpted models I did several years ago. The sculpt was based on Jim Lee's artwork (my favorite comic book artist) as COLOSSUS appeared on the cover of X-Men #1. Questions and comments are welcome. I hope you like it.

Thanks guys for the kind words. My intent at the time was to do the entire cast of characters on the cover in the Danger Room and maybe pitch it to Marvel. Again it was several years ago. However I had to abandon the idea due to the sheer amount of time it would take to sculpt all those characters.

Jim Lee is my favorite as well. The man was a comic book god when I was just starting to read comics. Your representation looks great.

NICE!! I have been throwing the idea around to get back into traditional sculpting for some time now.. I have only done a few sculpts, but they came out very nice. I never knew i had a talent for it.

All the X-men would be awesome! Do it! ;)
What line of work are you in? Hopefully something to do with sculpting, your stuff is amazing!
Did you go to anvart school?

That's how I found out I had a knack for sculpting too. I went to art school to become an illustrator but when I took my first sculpting class, my professor insisted I become a sculptor, so that was the route I took. But yeah, you should post some of your work too. Although, its a TF site, I really like how the administrators and fans are cool with having non TF stuff here as well.

I've worked in the toy and entertainment industry in the past, making toys, movie props, maquettes etc. but right now I'm freelancing. I have been working with THE WORKSHOP as of recent. Hopefully, I can show off my digital renders and a prototype print of the exosuit kit on the Radicons if they're cool with it.

As for the X-men. I think the only way I'd revisit the idea of doing the whole team would be if I were commissioned by Disney/Marvel. Even If I did those digitally, it'd be time consuming. But as for now, THE WORKSHOP keeps me busy and they may open new avenues for me to release some of my own intellectual property, the exosuit characters being my own creation (ie. Lt. Marcus Elliot and Dr. Samantha Phillips).

Thanks for your interest though, much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Tecrom
