Good evening Ladies and Gents. I offer for your viewing pleasure the last figure in my project Omnibots, Overdrive. Obviously this has been done a few times before, but I would especially like to thank Sculptbot who I borrowed heavily from on this guy, as well as Chansformers, Satomiblood, XSilverboltX, Optimusfan and a slew of others for inspiration. Base figure was a mix of Universe Sunstreaker and Generations Red Alert. I used RTS Jazz's head with the ears shaved off and RTS Tracks donated the wings. For the chest mounted lasers I picked a pair of the little guns off of a Botshots Topspin, and I borrowed a set of wheels off a busted Classics Bumblebee. His weapon comes from a G1 Actionmaster whose name escapes me at the moment. For the paints I went with my usual formula of Testors spray enamel and primer and I finished off the custom with G1 Overdrive's reprolabels. First off, TOTAL WIN! That is epic! Second, can we get a shot of the underside of the hood to see how that gun so nicely hides?
Your paint looks super clean ! For some reason I thought I didn't like this mold's chest mistransformed BUT after looking at your pictures I'm sure I do like it , good job Sir .
Really nicely done. I understand why you wanted to keep the light piping but since it doesn't work well anyway I think painting the visor would make it stand out and add more figure. Just my two bits, you did a great job.
This shit is official looking! I mean....wow. Seriously. Overdrive was my fav of the send off squad when I was a kid. I liked him best because he was, remember Im like 6 or so at the time, the car from Rad Racer! I fell in love with that year of Ferrari after. Nowadays that 328 still has a touch of nostalgia whenever I see look it up or see it on a poster or something. Anyhow. Overdrive was the coolest. I love this!

Man this really takes the cake. The "mis"transformation creates a picture perfect rendition on this Omnibot. Great additions with the wings on the forearms/doors and head choice. I keep looking at it from the side in bot mode thinking it reminds me of another bot but it's not coming to me. Regardless, wonderful job here.
I think the gun is from Mainframe. Am I correct to assume that if you do this with a Universe Sideswipe you wouldn't have to paint anything other than the feet and Tracks wings?
