    Animated Thundercracker

UPDATED! Here's a couple images of the final paintjobs on these two - a little bit of stripes and details go a long way! :)

Finally getting the bodies finished up to go along with my Animated Seeker Heads
This is a work in progress for both Thundercrackers - one for me and one fora commission. The one on the left is using Tamiya paints, the one on the right is using Liquitex Pro (just testing that brand out as they're more readily available in my area than Tamiya) - gotta say, I think Tamiya is still the way to go, as long as I can still find them!

I still need to add more details to them; purple stripes, black on the feet and waist, etc. Then add some Decepticon labels and we're good to go!

You can see my other animated figures here

i prefer the liquitex blue color. is your preference of tamiya based on application, color, or both? thanks! :)

My preference of Tamiya is the application - it just feels more durable once it's dry and seems to go on smoother. As far as the color goes - I didn't expect the Liquitex to be quite *SO* bright (it looks much brighter in person than these pics!) BUT, after adding the stripes to him and putting him on the shelf with the other Seekers, I think he'll be just fine. The darker blue just looks a little closer to the original G1 Thundercracker toy color.

Wow! Thundercracker looks incredible. Between great customs like this and the potential of new third party figures all I have to say is long live Animated!
