Ever since I saw the new Iron patriot styled warmachine in the iron man 3 trailers I wanted to repaint mine. I have started building up the colours with enamels and also started some light weathering and battle damage.
I'm still awaiting the blue paint I ordered in the mail so when that finally comes I will start the blue panels.

Like the work so far, and not a fault of the deco, but am I the only one who thinks the head is too big?

ha ha yes it did cost me a fair bit this figure but at the end of the day the matt black movie accurate look didnt do it for me anymore. I really want a custom figure no one else owns also.
I havent changed any parts on the fig at all only added paint.

The head looks fine to me and is in proportion.

Wow, I'd be scared to make a custom from that expensive of a toy. But this looks awesome! Bravo!

Badass.. I think the normal War Machine Gatling gun works better with Iron Patriot. Forget that plasma cannon shit---- War machine -I/P needs to bring the pain!

    lol cheers man
I have managed to build up the confidence to work on hot toys after I bought a second hand Iron man mk3 to practice on. At the end of the day its just plastic to paint the same as any TF really.
Thanks I was thinking of making a custom plasma gun which can slot into the Gatling gun mount so the choice is available.
    Thanks man

I will be adding the white decals next before some further weathering and then final clear coats.

It actually doesn't look too big in person. I own the movie 2 War Machine and it seems perfectly in scale. Or at least in scale enough for my eyes.

The head is perfectly in scale as with most of the hot toys figures. The only issue I've had with a hot toys head not being in scale was with the MK3 battle damaged figure as the tony stark head sculpted head and helmet were too wide compared with the led light up head. This was one of their first Iron man figures but since that they are pretty awesome.
