Ahh, I see. :)  But in all seriousness, this has got to be one of the best fan-made, scratch based Phiranacon combiner bots ever made. You, sir are a genius when it comes to these!

I dunno. Piranacon is a damn difficult bot to make combine if you don't have blockier bots. Even Abominus is easier to make into a combiner than Piranacon with his more slender alt modes. I have a little bit of this kind of cheating on mine.

Happy to see it all together. Looks pretty epic. Your combiners sure have been an influence with my current efforts.

Thanks man! I was aiming for less of a "brute" look with him, which is why I tried to give him "man in armor" proportions. I do admit though, in looking at the pictures, the proportions make him look smaller than he actually is, so the effect I was going for may have worked a little too well. It isn't until Megs is thrown in their that the size is evident.

Having done two types of combiners (fully integrated, and frame style,) I can say the end result with the frame style provides a much more functional combined mode, and does not necessitate compromises with the individual bots. With this approach, I was able to design the individual robots without the constraints of integrating a connector port somewhere. For a robot this size the attachment points have to be massive, and often end up being very noticeable on the components. The Abominus/Terrorcons I dd a long time ago, was a fully integrated combiner (the only requirements being the attachment of head, hands and feet.) Unfortunately the attachment points were not strong enough to provide for dynamic poses, and the attachment points were obtrusive on the individual bots (despite my best efforts.) Both styles are certainly possible, but the perception of a "cheat" doesn't justify the amount of work that goes into the execution of a fully integrated combiner.

Yup! Will be up on Sunday.

Thanks for the enthusiasm man! I am glad you like him.

Yes, the challenge on the individual bots was a blast. He literally took 3 years to complete. Good luck on yours! I look forward to seeing it!

Aww, that's awesome man. I always like your work, and know that it inspires me, so it is nice to return the favor.

Thanks so much all of you! I appreciate all of the feedback, as well as your patience while i got him figured out.

Awesome work. I like how all 6 are integrated into the body. It reminds me of MMCs Predaking.

The armored look and the trident spear really stand out.

As for the frame...I think people are just burned out from the number of Unicron framed customs. That has nothing to do with your work - which is awesome. Its hard to make custom sea vreatures combine. There are legs, tentacles, fins, etc... In the way. I had to make a set of custom hinges to make nautilator work and the only way I was able to keep articulation without using a frame was to work with toys already designed to combine.

Im sure this will fetch a ton of cash

I just realized that you used the General Grievous crossover figure for Skalor. My Overbite was based on this figure before I changed him to Skalor.

I was planning on using Star Wars crossover figs for all of them but only two made it to being Seacons in my set.

Hope that didn't come off sounding defensive. If I ever figure out a way to pull off a fully integrated combiner, while delivering a well proportioned and stable combined form, I will be the first one doing a happy dance!
I would prefer that option over the frame as well.

Yes, the crossover figures do provide some unique shapes for alt modes. I just wish the bot modes delivered a little more articulation and better bot modes. I had to add alot of details to make the Grievous mold work.

    Thanks again all!

Message board conversations don't have the flow of one in-person. I was in favor of your use of a frame.

Just wanted to make it clear that I love the way this came out.
