    FOC Starscream upgrades (Shapeways)
    Update February 2, 2013

Hey guys! I have a bunch of stuff planned for FOC Starscream and I'm just going to pile them on here for you guys
to check out. This rendition of Starscream looks great, albeit it's a simple figure, but with a few add-ons I think he
    can turn out pretty awesome.

In response to special requests I've composed a set consisting of the Bad Comedian's Hat, the Tailfins and the Beamer.
I was able to squeeze out a discount for some materials as well. This set will be available until February 15th, 2013.
Do place your orders before then!

Let's look at the individual items of this series. First off let's start with:

    The Bad Comedian's Hat

The most obvious upgrade there should be for Starscream is a little decorative headpiece. The main challenge for
this model was the fact that there wasn't much space to play around with around his head, what with all the
shoulder kibble hanging around. I managed to design the Hat to a decent level of accuracy while preserving his head
    movement.

He can turn his head about 60º each side.

The Hat is held firmly onto Starscream's head by a little tab piece at the back which hooks onto a notch at the back of
his head. Of course, be careful when you are putting it on to prevent the tab from snapping. However, in case of tab
breakage, the Hat can still hold on by friction, so don't worry.

For maximum effect in capturing all the details in the Hat, it is recommended you get it printed in Frosted Ultra Detail.

You can get the cat a Hat here at:

    Posable Starscream tailfins

    [IMG] [IMG]

As promised, here is a kit to replace the fixed, awkward looking tailfins of the FOC Starscream figure. Yes, it pegs
right into the original 5mm port like the original. The fins can swivel outwards just like the in game model so your
Starscream can look real dynamic in jet mode. In bot mode the fins fold neatly flat against his back, which makes the
figure look much better than before.
The fins are held onto the base by real sturdy joints, so you might have some difficulty pushing them into place but
trust me, once they snap in they feel really tight and lovely.

Due to this feature you can't use Detail or Frosted Ultra Detail material on this kit unmodified, but I will be showing a
tutorial once I get the print in where you can snip away the joint nub, drill a hole through the joint and use a thin wire
(or paperclip) to hold the fin in place.

The fins are flapping around in the sky at:

    Niiice.

Now, how about nullrays that fit over the hand? :)  Could also include an addon piece so that they can be put on his arms, too.

    Thanks JouetCOM!

I hope they won't cost much...they look pretty small...

LOL...you know me. I make the models you deserve, but not the ones you need right now... Feel free to release your wallet when you're comfortable! :)

Well, I may start work on some FOC weapons if I can spare the time. Who knows?

Aww..that's sweet. Too bad I'm half fish!

You know what? I did consider doing those 2 before, but I'm not sure if anyone will like them since they're so niche. The lever bot coincidently share the same limbs as Frenzy and Rumble, who'd think that?

You might want to ask in the movie forum... Asking in a random and completely unrelated thread isn't the best way to get it answered...

YES! Now this is something I'd actually buy from Shapeways. Too bad I don't have a FOC Starscream to wear it. :(
