Hi folks been a few months since anything new from me really, but here is my second piece back on the grind. An updated version of Shackwave the canadian radioshack exclusive homage of G1 Shockwave. I wanted to go a little farther than the cyclonus leg swap. I used a 1/144 scale gundam kit and grafted the waist down and the shoulders down to FOC Shockwave. I added a random hose and the chrome missle from CHUG Preceptors missle launcher. Painted flat grey and then highlighted using steel and silver and flat black for battle damage. I love the super articulation he has compliments of the gundam kit. Thanks for looking hope you like him and comments are always welcome.
Beautiful custom Jason! I like the mods and grey paint scheme a lot. Just never agreed people calling him "Shackwave" lol. Just makes no sense, but that's not your fault, "Radiowave" would sound a lot better IMO. Keep it up with the good work, my friend.
It bothers me when I read "go a little farther than the cyclonus leg swap", since those usually have Improvised altmodes of some kind, but that paint is smashing! The crazy articulation you added is great. Makes me want new Action Masters in the style of Marvel legends.
All i meant by the " go a little farther than the cyclonus leg swap " was (and I did do one using those legs to for my first version) was i wanted more articulation than those legs offered. Thank you, I am glad that you like the paint apps. Mizzinno, thanks man. I was ok with it because its the way the torso narrowed originally. But I guess I could have bulked him up a bit.....maybe he is Great Shutdown Shockwave WolfVein thanks man! Ranger Silver 6 to be honest I dont exactly remember which kit it is....but I am totally happy with the results. He will be on display with a few of my other customs at Agesthreeandup.com store front in BC Canada Joey Santana thanks for the support as always man! strangeguy32000 he is actually dark than he photographed and I am jealous lol
