Im repainting this Hoth AT ST to look more realistic and more like the Endor version in Return of the Jedi. Painted in multi layers of custom mixed acrylic paints and weathered.
The top half is done now for the legs and attachments.

    Very nice.

Out of curiosity, what are the differences between a Hoth and Endor based AT-ST? I'd imagined that they were essentially identical.

Yes its basically a white plastic with a few pathetic grey areas thrown on it !
    thanks
Thanks alot will try and get rest done tomorrow
Yes the design is the same the hoth version is basically a white more snow camo painted version.
Thanks Im pretty happy with the way its looking at the moment. I would love to do a heavily battle damaged version also from the Endor battle.

Incredible work! That looks like the genuine movie props they used for stop-motion filming.

Ah. I'd assumed both were essentially the same ash grey color and that the apparent difference in tone was due the Hoth one being in a light environment and the other being in a shadowy forest.

Regardless, your repaint is delightfully dirty. :)

If you're aiming for an Endor-accurate AT-ST, don't forget to add some ewok blood stains on the feet. Extra points for bloody tufts of fur! :D

Awesome! How well does yours stand? My Hoth AT-ST was absolutely horrible. Loose joints in the legs and hatch made it very tricky to like this particular version. I still have it but I am unsure what to do with it. I honestly conisdered smashing the thing because of how much it stinks. Now I am just talking about this version I absolutely love the whole mold of this AT-ST. Just not the Hoth version.

Yes I have also had problems with the very loose legs and cant beleive it was actually sold new with these problems... Any way I planned to make the legs static and glue them up as I wanted to make a diorama base for it. The top will still be possable as will the guns and hatchs etc. I plan to make the base today.
Thanks alot that means alot !
