News Credits: 2 | finding autobot symbols online is pretty easy, just do a google search. Find as large an image as you can and print out at the size you want. Then carefully cut out the solid parts so that you have a stencil and tape extra paper around the edges. Tape the mask/stencil onto your pillows so they won't move around. Try to get them as flat as you can without any gaps or areas where the mask pops up. I recommend taking the stuffing out and inserting a cardboard backer. Then use fabric spray paint to spray your design onto the pillows. You could go w/ a solid emblem or even use multiple colors to get a gradient / G1 look. I recommend using the paints over an iron on as those will crack, flake, and just look nasty over time and use. the same ideas can be applied to your flames. To REALLY make your designs "pop", after painting and letting dry, go over the edges with a 1/8" zig-zag stitch set to a minimal stitch length. This will give the final design an embroidered/patch quality as well as make for a more professional looking product. Just make sure that you don't sew the front and back of your pillow together or you'll never get your stuffing back in. You can find fabric paints here: Simply Spray Fabric Paint for Upholstery Carpets Clothing even Fabric Lamp Shades. and sometimes at shops like Joanne's, Micheal's, and A.C.Moore but the spray paints are getting harder to find. Good luck, I look forward to your progress ![]() ![]() :blog: :DeviantArt: :facebook: :Twitter: :ShapeWays: |

Big thank you to everyone for all the couch humor, and comments! I thought everyone in the Radicons could use something a little different. Can't wait to get this couch "Primed" and ready. I am going to try to enlist my mother for the sewing portion tonight, and then it's just a matter of making a stencil and cutting out some awesome flames. ![]() | |
