Great job, now have the perfect trio only need to be the first piece of the thighs of Thundercraker blue as the rest of the leg.
btw the pics so the paint rub issue on the fore-arm nub/peg thingy, but other than that its WICKED!!!!
Not this one, no, but PM me if you're looking to commission one. Yep...still on my to do list, lol. Yep, there are still a few paint rub spots. Pretty much on any of the new part pegs. This is my personal piece though, so I'm ok with it. I fixed the issue on later commissions I did.
I did..and they look like a gallon size zip lock bag full of disassembled MP Seeker parts Not a dumb question at all, but a simple solution! I just sanded down all the pegs that rubbed so that they fit fairly loosely. After painting they still weren't super snug so the paint doesn't rub off. For some parts, like the ball joints on the Nullray arms, I sanded them with a rough grit sandpaper (like 220), leaving a rough surface. This gives the paint more grip to stay on, and doesn't rub off either. Thanks guys!
I pray that an official one looks that good! What color did you use on his knee vents (I'm wondering if they're correctly colored)? Randy
I really love the way this came out. Were you able to use Hasbro's MP Skywarps tail fins, or did you paint Thundercrackers to match. I'm really thinking of jumping in to a similar project because yours turned out so well.
Amazing job worthy of a thread resurrection. I am doing something similar with the acid storm figure from tru. Was on deep discount, got two, the other will be thundercracker. Searching online for official pics for color correctness, I found yours and thought it was an official has/tak version and was using it as a guide. Then I clicked the link and was brought here. Excellent work. Had me completely fooled it was official.
Woah, zombie thread. Anyway, wow, thanks! That's a great compliment! I missed this last time somehow. Which tail fins do you mean, horizontal or vertical? The horizontal ones, yes I did, but like the rest, painted over in the same black. Thanks! And yep, there's too many parts on him that rubbing is almost unavoidable, and I wanted a piece I could transform over and over. Jarrod
