It's possible, may be hard to make it look good and functional......
    ......but yes, it's possible.

Wow, the finished figure looks like a mini MP-10! It's practically perfect now! Only gripe is the exposed head in truck mode, but I suppose not much can be done about that because of clearance.

Is there any way of seeing what those leg sliders you came up with look like on the inside? I'd like to give some of these mods a go myself if you don't mind.

It's friction-based, so it's basically a + shape with the right thickness and stuff hollowed out of the leg plus "rails" sculpted for it to slide along. If you want a method where it actually locks in place solidly, though, that's a little harder and something that I'm still personally working on to perfect.

Just a heads-up, though: some of these mods take quite a bit of work to get just right. Since I've been working on it recently, I can tell you that building a flap for the top of the truck to hide the head is easier said than done, primarily because of clearance issues. Don't get me wrong: it's totally doable, but it is quite precise.

When it comes to modding this thing, styrene and epoxy putty are your best friends.

Dumb question, but how did you manage to remove the pins for the wheel well mod? I can't figure it out to save my life.

I did it with a soldering iron and a small screwdriver, if I remember correctly. Maybe a spare pin from something else instead of a screwdriver.

Just be careful when using a soldering iron to extract pins. You can end up melting things instead.

There are also pin extractor tools you can buy, and there are tutorials on this sort of stuff here: Tutorials and How Tos
