Finally wrapped this one up after about 2 months, broken down into roughly about 250 pieces, painted 2 figures at a time. These figures are pretty sweet right out of the box, but when have you ever known me to keep them that way?

I started by spraying a dark gray base over every part after cleaning and priming. After that, the green and purple parts were pre-shaded and then blended in to give a bit of a worn look, using custom mixed HoK paints. Then I followed up with some dry brushing and detail with Testor's enamel, followed by a coat of Testor's Dullcote. I chose not to overdo the wear and tear on this one, and just went with a simple scheme. It's easy to go too far on such detailed figures, and in reality construction vehicles are rather plain looking.

This will be offered on Ebay for anyone who is interested, I hope to find him a nice new home to clear room for more projects. Thanks for looking, enjoy!

I have to say, this is not something I would have ever purchased individually. I elected for the smaller Green Giant set instead.

But, now that you've gone ahead and given it the jbarb treatment, I can't resist throwing a bid in the mix. It's gorgeous.

Thanks Dan, I've actually been waiting to see what you would do with one of these.

    Thanks!

Thanks man, the add-on kit does so much for an already great mold.

    Thanks!

Thanks Jon, much appreciated. I never got the Giant version, it's nice but I like the size of these guys.

Why thank you very, very much.

That painted visor completely changes the entire look of the figure. He looks much more like Devy that way.

It does, I was glad it came with the add-on kit since the original one was too thin and broke.

Beautiful paint work...it looks so soft and clean and flawless...I love some of the extra details you painted too...and surprisingly, I really like the grey/silver painted bucket and blade on Structor and Neckbreaker...

Very nice man!...though I can't say I'm not a wee bit disappointed to see a little bit more wear and tear on them ;)

Heh, thanks Eddie, I tried practicing the techniques to weather them a bit more but they weren't coming out like I'd wanted. Just need more practice I guess.

Thanks man, I appreciate that, though I still bow down to Spurt's and GI Eddie's versions, they were the inspiration on this guy.
