This is the legendary Star Saber, featured in season 2 of TF Prime. Wield the power of the Primes with a weapon that towers over Optimus himself! The sword and handle separate and will fit into the 5mm hands of any Transformer. The blade measures 186 mm in length and is an imposing sight for any Decepticon. This model has been successfully tested in WSF and FUD! PROGRESS REPORT So as my very first TF project I wanted to try my hand at making my very own Star Saber from TFPrime. I started at the beginning of October, and through trail and error created a finalized version of the sword. The model was vector traced in autocad from multiple high resolution screen captions. It is 99% accurate to what was actually in the show! I then had several prototypes printed, adjusting for size and level of details (trying to accommodate the 3d printing process while still keeping the details) The sword it available from Shapeways.com if you are interested in having your own. This weekend I gave a shot at painting one of my older version (I've never painted before!). I plan to paint my FUD print with a transparent blue blade so I can have both a normal and "powered up" version. I still have to seal this version of the sword, and give it a gloss to make it match Optimus a little more. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If anyone does decide to get one printed and paint it, I hope you'll post a photo here to share! ~LDM ![]() |

That's when Megs doesn't outright bitchslap Starscream for his insolence.

Looks so much better in Prime's hand than the digital references shapeways gives. Now, I have a better idea for scale too. Sig pictures are to be no larger than 40KB in file size and should be no larger than 300 pixels in height and 500 pixels wide - 2005 Staff |
