LDM's Celestial Sword - TFP: Star Saber

BUY TF PRIME - CELESTIAL SWORD

This is a completely show accurate weapon for TF Prime Voyager Optimus Prime.
This is the legendary Star Saber, featured in season 2 of TF Prime.
Wield the power of the Primes with a weapon that towers over Optimus himself!
The sword and handle separate and will fit into the 5mm hands of any Transformer.
The blade measures 186 mm in length and is an imposing sight for any Decepticon.

This model has been successfully tested in WSF and FUD!

PROGRESS REPORT
So as my very first TF project I wanted to try my hand at making my very own Star Saber from TFPrime. I started at the beginning of October, and through trail and error created a finalized version of the sword.

The model was vector traced in autocad from multiple high resolution screen captions. It is 99% accurate to what was actually in the show!

I then had several prototypes printed, adjusting for size and level of details (trying to accommodate the 3d printing process while still keeping the details)

The sword it available from Shapeways.com if you are interested in having your own.

This weekend I gave a shot at painting one of my older version (I've never painted before!).

I plan to paint my FUD print with a transparent blue blade so I can have both a normal and "powered up" version.

I still have to seal this version of the sword, and give it a gloss to make it match Optimus a little more.

If anyone does decide to get one printed and paint it, I hope you'll post a photo here to share!

Thank you.

I don't have the PRID version, but it shouldn't have a problem. The handle is made for any 5mm hand. My Breakdown can hold it no problem.

I think I just saw this on Shapeways. Looks so much better in Prime's hand than the digital references shapeways gives. Now, I have a better idea for scale too.

Yea, the ref file just shows the sword and handle printed separately. That way they can plug into any hand.

That one is WSF! Gave it a sealing coat before painting and it smoothed it out!
