    That's pretty badass! Only thing that would suck is the disk part of the ship is what housed most of the crew. Using it as a shield could be very dangerous for them. Otherwise very original and great execution!

    God people don't read...

    I have gotten this remark/question so many times on so many websites. I know I wrote a lot in the OP, but if people arent going to read it why comment about what is wrong with the whole idea?

    The saucer separates to send the crew to safety, and if that isnt possible the crew is transported (teleported) out of the saucer to a safe place on the ship, allowing the saucer to become extra protection as a shield for the robot.

    It was a 1/2500 AMT model if I remember correctly.
