Prime Ironhide

This is a complete repaint of a junker PRID Deluxe Ironhide, which had no Weapons and no Head.
The Weapons are taken from another Kup-Figure, cause these do not fit Kup.
Head is Taken from Movie Wreckage and fits a lot beter than the original Head IMO!

The first Pic is a Photomanipulation:

Very nice!

What is this trick?
Megatron: "What is this? A new Megatron with shark teeth doing seek and finds? How annoying, yesss."
Optimus Primal: "Slag, I never even made speeches that boring on our show."

My guess it's all in the hips, in the comparison picture Kup's hip assembly is higher up the torso than on the custom.

Nice work, getting more and more tempted to get a copy of this figure now.

This, I like. My only real complaints about the Kup/Ironhide mold were that the head was too small and the figure was too short (I wanted it to be the same height as Prime Ratchet) and this fixes both of them. Can you post details of the hip mod, please?
The Prime Decepticons: Cybertron's answer to Top Gear. You've got Megatron being taller than everyone else and bellowing "MORE POWER!" half the time, Starscream being the over-emotional butt-monkey, Soundwave being voiceless and mysterious, and Shockwave being logical, mechanically-minded and absolutely refusing to run on camera.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I own both versions of this mold and in the pics it's Kup that's been mis-transformed to be shorter, thus making Ironhide look taller in comparison.

Other than the new head and paint job, I can't see any mods on this figure at all.

Thx guys

The manual has no information about the the hip joint, and the joint is super strong and doesn't really move without being a bit violent

And the mid is the head, correct, so where us your "bad news"?
Best regards

Chris

The hip joint is step 11 on the instruction manual going from robot to vehicle and step 7 going from vehicle to robot.

I didn't mean to cause offense and your custom does look excellent, the bad news I referred to is that there is no 'trick'.
