Hey buddy MasterBlaster! Ah shucks dude, thanks heaps! It's been great having you along for the whole ride hey, it feels like ages, ha! Yeah, I was so happy at how much it's small scale got lost in the final photos. That made me smile too. Thanks again dude.

Hey Superquad7! Did ya like how this time I ATTACHED the final photos?! Ha ha! And it worked even more smoothly than my uaueal way of linking images, I shoulda been doing that from the beginning!

Wow, that is so great to hear, thank you so much. I really hoped it would be fun for others to tag along on. Thanks!

And thank YOU for all your work here on the site.

Seriously one of the coolest things Ive ever seen. Not just Transformers but ever. This was one of the few projects I actually cared to look at while the W.I.P. was still going on. That shot with the truck absolutely kills it man. Great work here.

can't praise this thing enough. it doesn't seem to register in my brain that it's a legends figure, that kind of perfection is rare on a scale so small! great work!

Ah hey Jamey! Thanks dude, wah, nice.

Really?!! Oh wow, that is just great. I love hearing that you enjoyed the WIP as it went on, that is just great. And yes I was so happy with how that shot of him as the truck on the road turned out! Thanks again.

Oh I love word puns. Thanks strangeguy.

Eyo Bumblebee! Thanks heaps hey, you should have seen the movement of my tiny brush on his head as I tried to paint in his blue eyes, the slightest shake of a finger is like MILES by comparison when doing that! Ha ha! I'm so glad you liked the detail hey, thanks for the cool comment sharing.

This is super nitpicky at this point, but have you considered filling in the voids in his legs?

    Hey Process,
Ah no nitpicking taken, you betcha I have! There was a bunch of things on this figure that I set aside of the completion list:

    - sharpened and rotatable ear spikes
    - rotating head
    - small rivets painted on (where MP-10 has them)
    - opening chest (with MINI matrix!)
    - Twin opening trailer doors
    - Slide out trailer ramp
    - Expandable opening trailer to be repair bay
    - a mini energy axe
    - and the LEG HOLES FILLED!

I had to throw alot of them to the side and just realise I didn't want to do them all. Which was hard to do believe me! I actually had some scratch test pieces in place for the lower leg gaps actually, but I ended up deciding not to worry about it. I filled the gaps on his thighs and arms because they really stood out, and I ended up growing accustomed to the lower leg holes. I do want to hide some chopped up nails in there though, the little fella has a tendency to tip over sometimes with the weight of that wheeljack aseembly.

    Thanks for the idea!

Ha ha! Imagine that! Ah thanks for the comment! That is so lovely to hear that my project was received so well. If you do stuff to your mini OP, please share photos! Id love to see em.

Oh man I lurked here for months when I was first re-kindling my transformers hobby. And really, from my personal experience at repaints, customs, and actually ANYTHING I creatively produce, I think the actual process is what matters. You call them poorly painted figures, but I call them figures that you had FUN painting. The fun you have painting yours is no different to the fun I have painting mine. And funnily enough, when I finish a big repaint, I look at it for a couple weeks, and then I don't really care about it much after that. So it goes to show the lasting effect is the enjoyment of the 'making'.

I know we all want our work to be top notch, and you'll totally get there. Just keep painting and enjoying it. (and if I can provide any tips or tricks, just PM me. I'm more than happy to share my knowledge!).

    J

    Nice one Wrecker!

Ah thanks Stevil! Yeah, even for myself I hold an unpainted legends prime next to this one and it shows me all the work that I forget that I did, ha ha! Thanks so much dude. Glad ya like him.

Ahhh ok, the eyes, mouthpiece, and scratches on the head were done with a brush, over an airbrushed blue base. So just in case you thought the whole thing was hand brushed, no way! Ha ha! Teeny details handbrushed, but the main colours overall were airbrushed.

Ah thanks Cheetor! It really was fun to do.

Ah yes, that's true. And cool, when the day comes that mini Optimus is done 'protecting the humans from any harm' in my local neighbourhood, i'll give you a holler. Oh man I already wanna see the shrine now!
