Oh yes look at you go! He looks great! The 3mm port will fit the trailer hitch post perfectly, and I think 34mm will be great. I did some measuring and 30mm is the perfect scale, but if you can't do it and keep the plug in wheels, then 34mm is totally cool.

I've never printed anything, so I don't know the difference between plug in wheels or rolling action wheels printed on? If it's just as cheap to print, then wheels off is good! Thanks again hey, yes!

Glad you like. The difference of wheels is basically when you get it in the mail either the wheels are separate and you can get to paint everywhere and then assemble it OR the wheels are already attached but can't come off. but they can roll around.

I think I've got this thing as small as I can get it and still have that 3mm port on top and have the plug in wheels. I might be able to get it smaller and require customers to use a nail or something to attach the wheels.

Hmmn... unless I do a flip out thing like on the MP-10 roller...

What is the height that you would need the "hitch" to be at?

Ah man thanks for explaining that hey. Hmmmm, I think just have the wheels off, so they can be painted, and then attached. That way othet builders won't have to nail them in.

I don't think it needs the flip out thing really. But good side idea. And I just measured and make the hitch top height, 15mm, thanks! Oh gosh this thing's gonna be so freakin cute! Ha ha!

Ha ha masterblaster! Oh gosh I loved that reaction!! Yeah, I knew you were kidding, and I originally wasn't makin one, and then I decided to see if I could. And I could! It really was so much fun to make hey.

Of course I couldn't live up to your impeccable idea of the working repair bay, but it's got the flip down back so i'll meet ya halfway. Ha!

Man that was a killer comment dude, and the aussie bit, yes! Celebrate big on the 26th, yeah!

Ah hey optimusneo, I set my mp-10 trailer in front of me, and did approximate measuring of the shapes and lines, then sketched them to my mini trailer's panels. Then I just used a craft knife (and ruler for straight lines!) and cut the panel lines in. I didn't press too hard, and they seemed to go just deep enough. And after sprayed with the alclad, they give off great light bouncing to show off the details. It was fun slicing them in hey.

Well if I make it smaller then there won't be room in that top bit for the port. But having a flip bit means I can put the port into a wider section that flips out. I can also make it so it flips out to be taller than it started if needed.

I wonder if there's a way to work a target master gimmick into it.. Hmmn...
I will continue to think on this and will give you a mini-MP Roller worthy of your mini-MP Prime :D

Ahhh I see what you mean, I wasn't sure how tall the model was already. Well cool! If you can add in the flip part so that it ends up being taller then nice!

Oh gosh, target master, ha ha yes! Oh you're shootin for the daydream stars hey, go for it. And I can't wait to see whatcha come up with.

For a targetmaster, you could model roller after armada megatron's minicon leader-one.

Okay cool. The current version is 15.6mm tall but 34mm long so when I shrink it down further it'll be shorter too. Not totally sure the best way to do the targetmaster thing yet cause it needs to be small enough that the OP can hold it right? I'll do my best though.

Wasn't planning on making it turn into a robot but damn if that wouldn't be cool... lol I'll see what I can come up with...

Edit: looks like I miss-measured... Just took another look at the model and it's 30mm from the back of the rear wheels to the tip of the front.. so I guess I don't need to resize it after all. I'm still going to see about working some kind of transformation into it though but the current model should work well enough as a v1 :)

Ha man nice! I had a look at the shapeways model and I see what you mean with the click on wheels, they look great. I haven't had anything 3d printed before, can you recommend which plastic colour and finish I should go with for something this small to be painted?

Also, being here in australia means the shipping is a minimum of $20 US. Aie! Are you able to send me the digital model file please? (hopefully by PM or an attachment in a reply here). I might see if a local printer here in my city could do it to save me the shipping cost.

    Thanks again!

$20 shipping for a ~$5 toy is nuts! You have local 3D printer places? I'm so jealous :D

Shoot me a PM with your email addy and I'll send you the file. As for plastic type, I recommend the White Strong Flexible Polished. You can try the Frosted Ultra Detail if you want a smoother finish but I can't garauntee that the plugs on the wheels won't snap :(

Last night I was working on the target master version and I might have over done it... It's more of a "cannon master" lol
Still need to add/modify the wheels so the can fold out of the way and do the fold out handle though.

    u

Yeah dude, I understand that shapeways have to make money somehow, I just can't spend that (unless MY local place is oddly the same price, ha!). Nice, I didn't think of the brittleness of the wheels, good point.

Oh wow i'm so keen keen to see what you did with the model now! I don't know much about the masters, so no doubt i'll be impressed either way. Thanks again dude!

Ah what! You read it all! Oh man YES! I'm glad that it's almost done and not halfway through the project, so you don't have long to wait for the reveal.

Oh and i'm letting the trailer and prime dry solid this week, so hopefully by the weekend i'll take the photos. I'll keep ya'all posted!

Man great comment, that made me smile hey. And I hope your essay learned that sometimes OTHER thinhs are the priority. Ha!
