Don't thank me, I actually found that picture on Google while trying to find a picture of that Third Party trailer. But you're still welcome. :)  I'd love to tell you who is/did make the trailer but I don't know myself. That's what I've been trying to find out myself for a few months.

Yeah, when I first got this guy I though how close we was to the size of a Hotwheel. :D

You did a great job on that trailer! Looks better than anything you could have bought. Can't believe how quickly it was done though!

I've enjoying following this project, always click on it when I see it on the first page again. :)

I am still going with a chest opening with a little matrix inside and this thing will be perfect.

Having said that, this thing is already perfect. Epic job on that trailer. Fun seeing this work.

Oh man, it's these holidays i'm on, i've got time to burn, modifications! It's great. And i'm glad ya like it, I am really so chuffed with how it turned out. And I tell ya, I can't believe I at one point WASN'T going to make him a trailer?! He truly isn't complete without one!

Oh gosh, if you sculpt the shapeways roller, i'll send the model to a local place here amd get it made and paint it. It would be the size of a postage stamp! Ha ha!

Ah yeah! I appreciate rarity of use in a word, nice! Oh gosh, stop giving me more idea to extend this thing! Darn you to idea oblvion!! Ha! And I totally could hey, I could take photos of my MP-10 box, photoshop the parts and get them printed to card and shape some overhead projector sheets to be the clear plastic.

NOOO! I'm nipping that (really cool) idea in the bud!

Ah man that makes me smile to hear echo! I've really been loving being able to update it most days lately. It really feels like i'm smashing the developments.

Oh gosh you said it with the hands size. I WISH I had fairy fingers! I was shaoping the tail lights and with holding the piece between my thumb and index finger, there simply wasn't any room for the dremel bit to reach in. It was impossible! Ha!

Wait, I just got an idea to make some thimble things that have extender fine point rubber tip mini fingers one them...

    Thanks for the feedback hey.

    Update 19 January 2013

    Here come the final touches!

So I had a dilemma with what to do with back of the trailer. I could make two swing out doors and have a simple slide out ramp like the mp-10. OR I could do a simple flip up ramp that sits flush like the original G1 optimus trailer. In the end for time and ease, I went with the flip up ramp back. Here we go!

I trimmed some model kit frames into little tabs with rounded ends and used my craft knife to 'drill' some wire holes. For 1mm bonsai wire, the craft knife spinning motion works so well! I highly recommend it.

I then sliced a back door/ramp, sanded away the texture (but left a teeny bit) like the main trailer walls, and notched and glued the newly made hinges in. Geez, hinges are hard on this scale! Leaving rotation clearance means the 1-2mm gap ia alot bigger than if it was on a bigger sized model. But I got it to work so hooray for that. I also looked at the details on the slide out ramp on the mp-10 trailer and craft knifed them in.

Here's the door sprayed with a tamiya gloss black in prep for the alclad...

And here's the inside and outside after the chrome spray. I used some shaved off details from the tank/truck kit to give the back 'doors' some lock handles. Geez I could have breathed these things in! I grabbed one with the tweezers a bit hard and 'tht!', it shot across the room to be lost in the carpet. I had a spare to shave off luckily.

I realised that the trailer didn't have taillights! What the heck am I doin? So I sliced up some clear plastic and used my craft knife to presse in some 'thirds' into each light, and some vertical parallel scratch lines on the other side.

And after some red paint on the reverse side, here's the tail lights in, and the rear ramp/door.

Ok! I'll post again soon, see ya'll!

So I started putzing around in sketchup and put this together. Still need to finish up the wheel joints. I assume you would want them separate prior to painting, otherwise I would just print with rolling wheels already attached.

ends up being about 34mm long or so.

edit: this includes a 3mm port at the top for cyberverse guns or whatever. I could make one smaller than this but it wouldn't have plug in wheels so you've have to supply your own axles. (thinking of the masses, not just you mate. I know you could handle that)
