The Dark Knight Rises Robin

SPOILERS ALERT if you haven't seen Batman TDKR!

Robin John Blake is Gotham's newest protector and needed a new look now that he quit the force. This movie masters style design is something I came up with for his transition into a crime fighter. New sculpted mask and hair give him a more rugged look and the red/black outfit (sans yellow) was one of my favorite color schemes for Robin in the comic. I used the GCPD Blake head, Spiderman New Goblin 6" body, and various fodder parts to create him. A taster nightstick, riot shield, arm-mounted grappler, and bo-staff round out his weaponry. His red scarf-cape is removable and he turned out to be extremely articulated, able to do all sorts of martial arts poses.

I love your work, I really do... but something about the head sculpt (maybe the ears?) just screams Alfred E. Newman from MAD Magazine to me. It could just be me, though.

I really like this. The accessories are very creative and true to the character. The work is beautiful.

The only thing I don't like is that it is more leather than armor. Nolan's universe is more realistic and the heroes are more vulnerable (think of the dogs in TDK). I imagine any Robin, Nightwing, or Batman 2.0 would be decked out in armor akin to Wayne's.

Putting "Robin" in the title is the spoiler. You should have just said "Dark Knight Rises Blake" or something similar.

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the piece either.
