Haha, I had the same idea myself and bought 400cm of chain link from ebay seller ilovebeads for only £2.20 with free p&p. Bargain. Do a search on ebay for 400cm Silver Plated Link Chains Findings 3*4mm.

Excellent. So a little paint, superglue, a good pair of wirecutters/pliers, and a correctly sized hobby chain can combine to create a very nice looking set of weapons.

Thanks for the close up pictures! good work!

This looks great, and I'm planning on some things for mine as well.

In case you guys missed it, I thought I'd repost some things from the TMNT discussion thread:

Gotta say, I love these new figures. I'm glad they aren't perfectly on model to the animation in a way because we got some great sculpts.

Yes the ends. I should tell you all now that you want 4mm X 8mm screw bails like this: 100 Craft Jewelry Silver Toned Screw Eye Connector/ Bail Eyelet Extender Finding | eBay

And some 4mm wide steel chain like this:2-5mm 12-36" Silver Tone Men's Stainless Steel Necklace O Chain US520616 | eBay

Then all you have to do is get a very small drill bit. You can get a set made by Dremel that contains a VERY thin bit that i used. Just slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw threads on the bail. Drill in, then thread the bail in. I also took the bail back out so I could sand and sort of buff the plastic so you can't see where I cut the chain off. Pretty easy. This plastic is kinda waxy and actually sands pretty easy. 320 grit followed by 600 grit and literally used my t-shirt to buff the plastic smooth. then I put the bails back in and it looks pretty much factory.

cool mod. I've been trying to find those small eye screw, so instead I used eye pins.

Could a person not just use craft wire - twist a loop in the last link at either end, cut to size, drop superglue in the hole, insert screw & you're done..
