Hey guys, I picked up a DOTM ratchet at a discount store a few weeks back and decided he might make a pretty cool ironfist. I like everyone's hound versions but I wanted a different mold to represent him on my shelf.
Here's the result. Thanks to my partner in crime destrongerlupus for printing the first tests.

Ahhhh, very nice. Now I could hopefully use this head for my version if you release it to us as well. There's no Ironfist heads out there at the moment that I know of besides this (except for the crummy orig. toy version.) so alot of poeple will prolly want this for sure! Great work man!

    Looks awesome.

Kinda wish there was a kit designed for a more Classics-looking body now lol

Wow, you're really knocking these out of the park lately, man! :D

For argument's sake, the new fists and abs feel a bit like superfluous accessories for the new headsculpt, but the overall effect is still great! I love the repurposing of that Ratchet mold!

You and your Ratchet moulds, man. ;)

For what it's worth, I personally think the RotF/HftD Deluxe might be a good fit, but it's a bit of a shellformer, and has those horrible arms...

Definitely a neat concept... but I gotta say... I hate how flimsy/puny DotM Ratchet is.

Still... that's a dandy looking kit. Even if folks might use the Ironfist head for another figure.

    Thanks for the shout-out Ninos!

I have to admit, I was pretty on the fence about this idea initially, I'm not a huge fan of LSOTW, so I kind of don't care about Ironfist, and I'm REALLY no fan of the DOTM toyline, but I snagged Ratchet so I could help test out this kit.

They might feel a bit superfluous at first glance, but in person the belly and hands, in addition to the bang-on head sculpt really breathe some impressive classics-style life into this solidly-engineered movie toy.

Ironfist was waaay down on my list, but now I'm dying to paint this guy up, he really has a lot of character. Such great work on this design!!!

Wow, that's much better than Ratchet! I'm especially a fan of the new mid-section. It makes him look so much... bigger.

Yeah, they do bring this figure back to more of a G1 style, though as far as movie figures go, this little guy is relatively traditional to begin with. Fortunately, Ironfist was never depicted as being particularly tall, so this being a smaller mold actually works well for him.
