These problems were able to solve each other. ![]() ![]() ![]() I still need to silver up his rims, and I have no idea what to do with his robot mode yet. Apparently I have to wait a few more days before he's fully cured to even transform him. But while I'm not pleased with the feel of the paint (rustoleum) I have to say that it's the smoothest finish I've ever gotten on a custom. |

Next time just spray at a longer distance and lightly mist the coats on using a sweeping motion front to back, back to front. Seems irrelavent, but trust me, distance makes a difference when it comes to thickness. Did you prime (base coat) the internal parts (bot mode) already or did you just paint the car mode only? I don't think it's too thick as I can still make out the mold's details. Yea, I'd give it a day before transforming it. Does the paint feel dry at least, or does it have a tacky feeling to it? Either way, it looks clean and I like that you took the time to mask the areas off. As for the rims, you should invest in detail swabs. The tips are small, but it gives you a greater margin of error to work with. A steady hand also helps. For Sale: Perfect Effect PE-04 Buzzer (100% Complete w/Box) - $30 |

Is this the 'Sidearm Sideswipe' mold (i.e., the one who had the forearm flames on first release) or ROTF first release version? Personally I'd prefer the former were this my custom, but entirely your choice of course. |
