This is my first anything so I apologize if I'm doing this incorrectly lol.

The ONLY gripe I had with RID Vehicon was his lack of real elbows. I decided to do something about it, so here it is! He can now have straight, not-sideways elbows that look a lot more natural/show accurate, and do not hinder the tightness of the joint or transformation whatsoever. Enjoy!

As seen in the pic all I did was cut away the parts outlined in red with a dremel.

Actually, they were already accurate. The arms have those funky elbows on the show model, too.

Isn't that less show accurate? I'm pretty sure their arms are hinged like the unmodified toy in the show.

I kinda liked the funky hinges of before. This just makes his arms look kinda skinny.

The arms do go out to the side in the show, but the show model makes it look a lot more like a natural arm. The toy in its unmodified state just didn't look good to me at all. Looks more accurate to me anyway lol

I'm with you Kenjamin! The rest of this toy is so awesome & the elbows are so wonky. This mod makes him pretty much perfect! I had the same idea but was waiting to let someone do it first to see if it affected the sockets integrity. Thanks for doing it! Is it prone to popping out now or is it still pretty solid? Good job!:thumbs2:
The arm has bits on the outside that the toys offset mimics in profile, but if you look closely @ K's screen image, you can see that the show model's upper arm & forearm are actually in line with eachother & not offset as the toy is. It just has armor on the outside kind of like Batman's gauntlets, but everything is still lined up like a natural elbow.

Show accurate or not, your mods make it look a lot better! I will have to do this.

very nicely done. great idea! i like the look of these modded arms. it looks much better once you do this. ive waited to do this til i picked up a 2nd one the other day. ive completed this mod on my 1st one now. i didnt shave off as much as the original pics. just a tad less. i was nervous about cutting off too much. everything is still nice and secure on mine.
