De-Animated G1 Blitzwing

Hated Animated and the toy line too. The figures were flimsy and nothing really pegged in. That being said, they were fun to paint and very easy to make look good. Here is my Blitzwing finally completed. He was sitting on my WIP shelf for a really long time. Got him on clearance and the first thing I did was find a new head to replace the silly Man-E-Faces gimmick. The best head I could use with very little modding was the Universe Onslaught head. I also replaced the 2 gun barrels with just 1 barrel for the tank mode. I think he looks less goofy now and kind of tougher. Kind of like an evil drone. Then painted the figure up in his G1 colors.

Awesome man! definitely a lot less goofy looking, my only suggestion would be to seal the hole on the back of his head somehow since it sticks out a little in jet mode, but other than that real sweet work!

Yeah. It's wasn't until AFTER it was done that I figure out how to do that without getting in the way of transformation. I was just happy to see the head fit in the gap without cutting or trimming anything. So it was like , "DO'H!"

I think this Blitzwing just looks brutish as hell. And he's like Brawl with another mode.

My Feedback:

LOL, yeah I hear ya, finding a good head for this mold is real difficult since alt mode is involved, good choice and job once again.
