Great job intergrating the Lego ball joint things. I could never get them to look that uniform with the figure
Update!! Procrastinated this for way too long. Vortex with paint! Before: After: Vortex with his gun: Group shots! (Vortex is only about 60 percent done in these shots.) ENJOY!
Looks good so far, though the one thing I'm a little weary of is the use of the bionicle ball joints. Are they being used solely for connection purposes with the joints a separate part or as the knee and shoulder joints themselves. If the latter, I'm afraid the combined mode may end up being unstable with it being made out of voyager class figures; at worst a floppy mess going off my own experiences with bionicle joints. Just my two cents. Otherwise, nice job.
I actually made sure that the connections were very stiff and sturdy so that problem could be adverted. Swindle and Blast off are heavily modded Crossovers Jeep Iron man and Flying wing war machine respectively.
Added some silver highlights and added some small details of purple to homage the Original vortex toy.
Vortex & Bruticus Update! Here's some of the touch ups that vortex received. Vortex and Blast off with Fall of Cybertron Optimus prime. And finally: Funnily enough, Vortex needed NO modification to fit Bruticus' hand. Isn't that weird? ENJOY!
Sneak Peek!! He just arrived today, so do you know what this means? One more team member to go! Here he is with the group: Here's his is with Blast off: Shuttle launch base mode! And what we all have been waiting for: For scale: ENJOY!
The combination ports have been added to Onslaught. The leg combination ports required the most work. will post pics soon...
Onslaught UPDATE! Here he is folks! Onslaught in all of his glory! For toy accuracy: For show accuracy: Full body shots: Alt mode: Group shot! ENJOY!
