DOTM Wrecker: Daytonus

Hey all,

Daytonus here is the Wreckers' pursuit-and-capture specialist. He's considered the "pleasant" Wrecker, mainly because he doesn't talk too much, and when he does, it's mostly "Yes, sir" and "no, sir." This is less because he's polite, and more because he keeps to himself, on the trail of Decepticon fugitives.

The toy is a Track Battle Roadbuster, painted Krylon Fusion Pumpkin Orange and done up with decals from Patto's Place.. The decals were meant to be 1/43, but the mold isn't exactly 1:1 for a NASCAR stocker - the center of the vehicle is a little longer than it ought to be, the headlights a bit smaller, and the whole thing is a hair wider - it might actually be more like 1:41 or 42...

Anyway, I'm generally pleased with how this turned out (I managed to give him a camouflage "hat" complete with a tiny Bass Pro Shops logo, although the photos don't really show it) and figure I'll try it again relatively soon with my extra "stock" Roadbuster. I hear Ryan Newman's car has a relatively easy to work with deco...

That's awesome! May I ask how you made the decals? I plan to do this sometime in the future (but with a couple different NASCAR driver paint schemes), and I'd love to know how you got such amazing results! This is easily one of my favorite customs on this site, and overall out of any I've ever seen!

Wow! I visited that site, and those decals will definitely be useful when I do my NASCAR TransFormers (based off the characters in my fan fiction linked in my signature )!

the mold is wider because its a Nationwide COT and not a Sprint Cup COT like it shouldve been, ill never understand why Hasbro did that. they dont even look remotely the same

example. Nationwide COT

and a Cup COT

nice custom though id love to see more of these
