I hope you can put this up on shapeways as it would be more accesible and easier to order :D

    This is phenomenal.

Only concern is the trucks inherent front bumper; will it need to stay up in botmode?

This is just great. If it wasn't so tall, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Damn my self-conscious scale issues.

Well, if you think of him as a companion piece for MP figures (especially the new line beginning with Takara's Sideswipe) he sounds like he'll be just the right size. :)

    Cheers guys,
thanks so much for the feedback.

:)  yeah, shapeways will be a last resort. I love the detail you get but the detail is pretty pricey and very brittle. as for the hips. If you look at the two screws in inferno's butt. take those out and it frees up the legs. My add on will use the same screw holes...this is getting dirty.

This is an interesting thought but I figure even if I find a firetruck at say $20 Then folks have to find/buy and maybe ship the product in. It might be just as cheap or at least more convenient to have one that comes with it. I'll think about it Z.

    pm sent. :)  thanks

I'm still figuring out how some of these parts are coming together and trying to keep in mind the piece count. I'm not sure what you mean about the hips hanging down low or clearing the crotch. sorry just wanted to be clear. thanks for the input.

I can include shelves with your order. :dunce

I don't think so, You can put it down at 45 or 90 degrees. It might look silly though, I'm waiting on a couple parts and I'll have better pics of the standing bot mode for ya.

Shapeways will probably be my last resort. but if this pans out I'll try to make it as easy as possible to order.

    here's hoping. :)

Obviously I was thinking of a toy firetruck of considerably less than $20. I myself have a shoebox full of firetruck ladders and cranes from various thrift store toy truck purchases... so I'm thinking selfishly when I consider how much cost a big ladder would add to the kit, when I'm sure I'd have one already that would fit. :lol

But that's just me. Of course it makes sense for a user-friendly upgrade kit like this to be all-inclusive with everything you need, and be easy enough for anyone to install. I think you're on the right track. :thumb

:)  I'll take this one step at a time. however, if you want one without a ladder i think I know you well enough to figure something out bro.

I wish you'd sell the idea to a company so they could make in in the proper plastic.

I like what I see otherwise.

This is just too awesome. Now you have me thinking of hunting this down. I'm just imagining him stood next to the future MP Red Alert.........damn you! I'm really really fighting the urge to start on Season 2.

How easy would it be to do something similar for Alt Nemesis Prime for the Trailbreaker conversion? I'm guessing a little more complex but do-able?

A Masterpiece Trailbreaker would be even more epic.

Haha! I'll take it one step at a time too... I'll happily wait and see what you come up with. :D

You're aware that there is a mod that allows you to increase the length of Alt Prime's legs, right? It's nothing near this dramatic, but it does make him look a little better. :)

got to say this is pretty sweet man. love the height. I imagine since you started this project the gears in your head havent stopped turning and your already comminmg up with mods for grapple.

any chance we might see a kit to make an Ultra magnus out of this mold ala Vidmouse style

    Wow, just wow!

Please make sure that there's one available for Grapple! I've got him primed and ready for your kit for when it comes out.

How long/tall will the completed kit stand? Any side by side comparison with, say, a MP roddy or grimlock?

Do give us an idea of how much it will cost, so I can see how long I'll have to starve to scrap together the funds!

Already said he'd be a shade taller than an MP seeker, so your looking at just over 8".

    No prob! :)

There are actually two mods... one to extend the range of the leg sliders, and another more involved one that involves cutting away some of the plastic around his knees to make him *look* taller. I've seen images of figures where both mods were performed, and the effect is pretty impressive. Really changes the proportions of the figure for the better.

Yeah, I'm assuming WJ meant head-height, not shoulder pylon height on MP seekers. I think that's a pretty good height. Should just about match my iGear Faith Leader.
