SG Junkion Insecticon trio

So when I made Kickback aka Kickstart Insectibike, I didnt think it would be possible to make the other insecticons because the heads were too small and I wasnt sure if the parts would work as well as Kickback.

Well I played around with my TRU reissue insecticons and figured out a way to sort of do it.

Both Bombshell's and Shrapnel's heads are too small to work as well as Kickback's head.

So looking at Bombshell, I thought that Scrapiron's head is sort of in a similar style and could work.

Then I added Bombshell's horn and kickback's legs/arms to give him more of an insect look.

Then after looking at Shrapnel's face, I scrounged for a suitable head. Perceptor's head sort of has as similar shape and design. He just needs a visor instead of eyes. Which can easily be done with some thin sheet styrene. You need to unscrew Perceptor's head and then wedge the back half onto the ball joint. then screw the face back on.

And while trying to figure out a place to put the jaws, I found a super easy place. His nipple guns. They are perfect for the stag beetle jaws.

Perceptor's head is almost perfect...just turn those eyes into goggles. That was a pretty prominent feature of Shrapnel's face!

Are they still able to transform into alt modes?

Yes. Although I literally finished Shrapnel right before taking pics. So I havent figured out his transformation into bike. Meaning I dont know where to store the jaws.

Nice! I'm really surprised that G1 Shrapnel's head doesn't work on a deluxe mold... it's way too big for his original body. I confess it just doesn't feel like Shrapnel to me without it, though maybe I'll feel differently after you add a visor.

The Scrapiron head works pretty well for Bombshell. I might cut off the the little "horns" and stuff, but it's good.

This is such a brilliant idea... love it!
