Future bro, try some Pledge/Future Floor Finish. Ard coat is way harder to work with compared to Future, plus Future is self-leveling, hides brush strokes, fixes loose ball-joints, dries super hard, it's the shit. I just never dug Ardcoat personally. Cheet may be using something entirely different though but he'll tell you I imagine.

YW Rikerwota, you're better than you think you are tbh. I guarantee Cheet doesn't think he is as good as he is either, no customizer does. Well, except the really conceited "Pro" ones but that's another story. I had one of those "Pro's" tell me he was going to buy my custom, strip it down, repaint and resell it once just out of the blue over mine getting more bids. :lol  What a douche. Just don't turn into that guy after you get established and you'll enjoy the hobby R. Once it becomes a business venture or solely income based I've seen it turn otherwise good people into pure assholes. It's sad.

Hell, I'm trying to turn it into a business and I'm making good income from it but I'm not a douche by nature. I happen to like people. :)

No, not by any sense of the term. You're in the very select few of humble/helpful pros.

Yeah, I gotta chime in too to say it's cool that you're taking the time to reply and not be a pretentious asshole as some pro-customizers tend to do.

    You're a cool dude.

Hey I've got one last question Cheetimus, what do you use to make straight lines? Any kind of painter's tape, or just sheer ballllllzzz?

Nothing. I just use a thin brush and I slowly drag it in the direction I want. Which is to say it's not just the tip in contact with the toy but a good portion of the brush is laying flat.

Also, wow. I certainly don't think of myself as a pro so thanks for the compliments, guys! You're making my day here. :)

I have a small question: How did you get the headlights out? They're proving to be a royal pain so far even after cutting the "glue" I guess or melted plastic away.

I had to use a dremel as the glue seems to have seeped into the pegs pretty damn good. I tried cutting with a blade at first but ended up drilling in the end.

I was not going to get this figure as it seemed to be the runt - limited colours mistransformation but now I will be getting it to fix it up and improve it.

Love the looks of this cheets! Perfect, and something I'm *hoping* to replicate. So the formula is:

    Citadel Clear Red
    Citadel Foundation Red
    Model Masters Chrome Yellow

Anything special for the white or just a gloss white? Am I missing anything else? I'm just in awe at how AMAZING this looks, you're quickly becoming one of my favorite customizers here :D

When I saw the promo pics of Knockout I was disappointed, I got the figure and it wasn't bad, but seeing this gives me hope for the figure. This is what Knockout should look like. Outstanding work and you definately deserve every penny this thing sells for.

Model Masters Clear Red. Citadel may have a red wash but I don't think they do clear paints other than Aardcoat which is clear varnish topcoat, IIRC.

That looks brilliant! I wish the regular retail toy looked as good. I'll be using your custom as a reference for my own.

I really love this pose; it's so simple, yet pretty cool:

Every time I see it, I picture him walking onto the bridge and saying "Doctor in the house."

Yeah, I modeled that after his main image on the wiki. It just felt right.
