I don't see much point in that to be honest. It doesn't look different enough.

This is definitely an improvement over the figure straight out of the box. This looks crazy awesome, really lets the mold shine.

It WILL rub the shit out of those yellow vents, dry or not. You'd have to repaint them. Trust me on this. :(

Dammit. I have a ton of work ahead of me, I see. Hopefully mine will look even 50% as good as that.

Really? The only AM one I've gotten so far is Skywarp and he came out beautifully. I didn't mind the little bit of stickers he came with...

I'll see how the AM knockout pics look and if they suck then I just might have to see if I can commission for a new paint job.

Not trying to derail this thread, but I'm confused. Not doing the new shoulder transformation will ruin the paint or doing it will? I don't have the figure in hand, so I don't really see any difference or know it is, but is there any benefit to doing it aside from aesthetics?

i think he means where you "lock" his headlight/fenders in place by his collar.

i used quotes on lock because i was never able to get them to stay in place.

You're probably not pushing hard enough. I used to get them to "lock" and then I just jammed them the hell down and there's a more distinct click when you're actually locking them into place.

I'm a fan of knowing my TFs are stable in both modes. I've never really been able to enjoy HFTD Jazz because his chest isn't securely in place. Yeah he looks good on the shelf but when I look at it, all I can think of is "if I move his arm, the chest is going to move instead".

So getting Knock Out fully into bot mode, in a way that wont fall apart when I pick him up, is very appealing to me. :)

He doesn't fall apart without the "mod".
    Just saying...

WOW! This looks amazing. The official release looks more like "knockoff" rather than "knockout". You have put Hasbro to shame on this 1. Awesome work. Any chance you'll reveal what colors you used after your auction ends or did I miss that in the thread already?

Citadel's foundation red for the dark parts. Clear red over the lot.

I originally planned on doing a much more simple paint job for this guy. But after seeing this, I think I'm sold on trying to do more. This looks fantastic. Great job. If I had the cash I might have just tried to buy this one instead.
