| butcher of the bots Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 1,126 Location: calgary Collection Count: literally a whole basement full News Credits: 1 | classics constructicon mixmaster bot number 3 is now finnito. with him,i went a totally different route as opposed to the usual energon barricade mold typically used in ptitvite's recipe. the base mold was a rid hightower with a extremely altered front cab. the alterations to the cab includ alot of excess removal,alot of styrene,classics prowl's front windshield and a whole lot of automotive shortstrand fiberglass and putty filler. the tiny front grill on it is from a matchbox semi truck.both modes have added kibble/armor chunks to try to beef him up that much more than stock. the mixing drum attaches to him three ways,to the cab in alt mode via post and hole,in bot mode via post and hole in a different spot,and "leg" mode with two rare earth magnets. to try to simulate the twin launcher above the g1's head,a twin cannon was added to his upper right shoulder,which in turn spins around in alt mode to become his smoke stacks.this twin cannon can still be removed and held in his hand. his rifle is from lego with another lego post chunk added. his new windows are automotive metallic blue vinyl,and his headlights are reflective yellow and silver vinyl. (again,sorry for the big pics,ever since photobucket switched up the edit feature i don't know how to downsize pics now except by cropping pics....you used to be able to simply adjust them with a sizing tool.) |
