This little beauty won second place in the Custom Figure Competition! Me looking goofy with my trophy! UPDATE Finished - 1 day till I fly to Botcon ![]() ![]() (WIP - four days till I fly out to Dallas) It's been a while since I posted in here... So this is a collaboration project, the awesome Cashanova of Calloway Customs Shapeways fame designed this Galvatron, he only made the one which sold for over £400 on ebay. You can see his thread for that here. Finished product pictures start here Some of you may have noticed that Cashanova has been quiet on the boards as he has moved on to bigger and better things. Hard working, had a child, two job, design machine mother fucker that he is. So he never got around to finishing the second one. That's where I come in. I received most of the parts for this in their raw form and left to do how and what I wanted. The "base" mold, really just a skeleton for this, is from Classics Silverbolt, but only just, the rest of it is Shapeway parts. Here are some pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see, I've taken a few different design cues, I went for more a purpley blue than a straight blue, and a straight orange cannon rather than the light piping, as I wanted this as comic accurate as possible. And yes, I need to swivel the hips to hide the screws. The hands are taken from an Alternator Swindle - who obviously paid the price for stealing in Carbombya (G1 was classy, huh?). Anyway, just a WIP, trying to get this finished for Botcon. Cashanova and I will be there in the flesh and this should be in the Botcon competition, providing I can get the arm connectors found and painted in time. UPDATE An extra bit of detail! ![]() ![]() See you in a week! Read my Novella, "Not In The Eye", cheap on Amazon. MY COLLECTION - officially the 68th biggest in the UK |
