My set arrived today. The color matching is pretty spot-on, so I don't have to worry too much about painting. I decided to file down the handle of the grenade so that it can act as a combining joint, putting the guns together into one large shoulder cannon.

Well I still haven't painted mine yet but I can post some pictures. They are on my list of stuff to paint. I really like how they look in vehicle mode.

EDIT: Sorry if the pictures are too big. My tablet really loves huge pictures.

Question

awesome bits to complete a nearly awesome figure. Which material on SW would be better for paint apps? The stong flexible has that powerdy look that seems like it would create a more matte finish rather than metalic or glossy. Also can't find alumide listed as a choice...where did that go?

I have yet to buy anything in FUD but I assume all the plastics take paint just fine. My pictures above show off the guns in Black Strong Flexible. The Scrapplets are White Strong Flexible. The all versions of that material when painted will be porous.

White Strong Flexible Polished doesn't seem to have that problem.

FB: Got a suggestion about the grenade... How about some sort of backpack that the grenade can be clipped on. That backpack can be use to cover the back part in car mode.

In case people don't know where to store the grenade in vehicle mode. It's wedged between the thighs.

Looking sharp, mate. The latest version of the grenade actually had a way of being stored in car mode, near the back of the car so it could fill up the gap there. But what you did wedging it between the thighs work fine as well

There's a newer version? I did not see that.

I assume that version 2.0 was just recently uploaded. *bummer*
