Whee! I'm now a member of the Snitch fan club! I'm hoping to get some work done on these by this weekend.
Just got all four minions (two Thuggers, a Purrdator and a Snitch, plus drillers/slammers) in WSF+P, and they look good! Quick question, Ariel, what changes did you make to version 4.5? My sprue has a different parts layout than the assembly pictures--I'm assuming those two extra wing pieces are for alternate weapon mounts? Just curious--thanks again!!
Can you elaborate on the quality if the WSF + P? Is the quality of the details any better in either material?
Thank you for posting this thread. Because I've had mine for a week now, looking at it and scratching my head where to even begin.
It's tough to say on the detail quality---it really depends on which details in question. For example, I have a Purrdator in WSF+P and FUD, and the four fangs on the head pieces are visible in both--they're just pointier and more pronounced in FUD. On the Thuggers, however, the facial details are almost impossible to see (if they are still present), due to the size of the piece. I mean, these things are TINY---the fact that the majority of these details are still defined and visible at all is damn impressive, and a credit to fakebusker's work as a designer. Overall though, I'm happy with my material choice...the smooth surface looks good even unpainted, and the 'gummy' feel people complain about can easily be helped with a good gloss coat.
Hi, just picked up my one of these - am I being slightly dim, or does it require partforming in order to transform? I've assembled it correctly as per the instruction picture, but the only way I can see to do it is to pop the cannons off and then reattach them to the 'new' sockets after the wing rotation. Not a problem, just wondering if that's how it's supposed to work.
Hi Tarrn, Yes it's true, you will need to 'partsform' the cannons into the new sockets. :3 Best regards!
Oh, that reminds me. I ordered this guy a couple months ago, and i never got around to putting him together. Guess I should do that this weekend.
So it's been awhile since I've had time to work on anything but I thought I'd share where I am at today with the Snitch
So the parts are soaking again, hopefully I'll have this done by the weekend, some parts are being stubborn taking the dye
In time, yes... :3 I have a few sketches lying around and it's a matter of working it out on the computer.
