Here's an overdue commission I'm wrapping up. Thanks to payton for being the first I had seen to do this custom. And thanks to buzby74 for his genious idea to use the U. silverbolt parts for the shoulders. Shockwave is fully articulated, MP screamer hand, and has a new paintjob. I'm aware that his legs dont fully snap together in gun-mode, which I believe I can fix. His fold feet inside his legs the same as the G1 figure. For picture purposes, they were left out to support the gun-mode. Handpainted with Testors Acrylics and Enamels, sealed in a gloss finish.
thanks guys. the commissioner is very excited for him, glad you guys like him too! hey, thanks man. my shoulder is still giving me problems, so I'm trying to get some major work done, before my shoulder potentially gets any worse. A couple more customs should be finished this week, and painting on Nemesis Max for a very patient and awesome guy, he should be finished in the coming week or 2. hey hey, thanks man. When i removed his original decepticon symbol, I almost removed the rubsign as well. But tested it, and since it still works, I definately kept it. Adds a nice touch I think. Thanks for the comment man, love your work. thanks dude! glad you like him
I love these Shockwave MP's, really need to get one!! Do you shave the seeker legs right down or build his new legs straight over them? Love the placement of the hips too, the others I've seen look either too big or very tacked on. Awesome.
Cheers! Yeah it certainly gives a nice little nod to the past. And because he's a big figure it's not distracting, just an extra bit of detail. I like the shade of purple you used for him too.
