That's right! I said over $160. Why the huge cost? Because I just needed to have the tuck cab rotate on the robot's back. So I unscrewed the cab section and used my box cutter to cut off the extra bits so the back of the cab could be flat for rotating. Well, the box cutter slipped and sliced my finger all the way to the bone. So $50 emergency room co-pay, $85 deductible, $25 for stitches removal plus the cost of the minicon and paint/supplies.

    This is my Classics Pipes.

He was built using Classics Grindor. I made the cab rotate on his back to make him look more like his G1 appearance. He is basically just Testors dark blue and silver with a custon blue for the face. The pipes are made using some parts from a model car kit.

Way to fight through the pain and finish it up. Did Pipes at least give you a ride to the Hospital? Nice custom.

Oof, ouch, man. I remember the last time I had a serious injury customizing; in the ensuing chaos from scrambling to stop the blood flow, some pieces got lost and I was never able to put it back together. So the fact you managed to finish this guy is a real testament to your tenacity, I salute you. =D

Pipes himself looks pretty good too. Not the mold I would have chosen but you made it work! I might have set the pipes up a bit higher and carved the Bulkhead-jaw into a faceplate, though. And I have to wonder if the plastic beneath the paint is bloodstained. What's left of my white-and-yellow Movie Mudflap/Erector is now very orange and no amount of sanding or rubbing alcohol has helped. XD

To say that there is a little piece of me in this kitbash would not be a metaphor.

Ouch! On the plus side it appears as if they did a damn good job stitching you up. Good work on the Minicon, even at the expense

Dang, really hope the changes to the NHS won't bring about charges like that!

Nice custom, shame you hurt your finger though.

Custom scaring...thats new:D  nice job on the custom Pipes also. I know the feeling of running a knife through the finger, I was trimming a TF to give a little more movement in the legs and I slipped and ran the blade right up the middle of my pointer finger fingernail, stopping about 3mm from the quik....its just grown out 3 months later, but thinking about it is still making me squirm.

The thought did occur to me, but it was bleeding profusely and I couldn't get it to stop. Trying to superglue a heavily bleeding cut is as much fun as trying to duct tape a busted water pipe.
