This is one of the most awesome customs that I've ever seen. Love it. Now make those labels!!! Your project helped to inspire me to work on mine: a Panosh Place-style Vehicle Team Voltron.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have started work on the stickers. Got most of the original stickers redone. Soon after, I plan on doing extra stickers for the arms and legs. Also, I wanted to share the thread that inspired me to do this project: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/268208-who-ya-gonna-call.html After seeing this, I wanted to make an 80s toy into something better. After reading that the Matchbox Robotech Veritech Fighter didn't transform, I knew what I had to do.
Better watch out... harmony gold will show up on your doorstep with papers in hand. XD seriously though, this looks awesome.
To keep this thread alive (and to share how I made some of the figure), here are some I did of various parts of my KO model resized into the bigger size. How you use them: 1) print out pics (Pics 1 & 3 should be 8 1/2" X 11". Pic 2 should be 3 6/8" X 7". ) 2) glue pics to card stock (preferably comic book boards) 3) cut out images. You now have templates. Hope this helps anyone who wants to build their own VF1.
Just found this thread and had to say how awesome it is. This is the dream of every kid who had the original toy! Now you jusy need to mass produce them!
